The Role


Queen Katharine Academy have an exciting opportunity to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Librarian to lead the Academy library and ensure the learning resource centre and library supports and enhances the goals of the Academy and to ensure that the library is an integral component of the Academy’s learning and teaching priorities.


The role will include day-to-day management of the Academy library, evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of the Library’s contribution to teaching and learning and implement and maintain policies and planning for the provision of learning resources.



collecting and inputting data, meeting strict deadlines and maintaining key spreadsheets within the team. The successful candidate will also be responsible for using the Academy’s MIS to analyse data and produce reports as appropriate for members of staff.


The successful candidate will

  • be confident and approachable with all library users.
  • be organised to plan and create resources.
  • have a passion for reading and be able to communicate this to students.
  • be an excellent team player but also have the initiative to work alone.
  • have excellent IT knowledge.
